Since the launch of the iTalkBB TV set top box in 2012, iTalkBB TV has grown to be the largest Chinese-language, licensed content provider in North America. Now reaching more than 1M Chinese viewers, we entertain audiences with a curated collection of popular movies, hit TV shows, original content from top creators and influencers, in addition to 30+ live streaming channels.

Our Mission

iTalkBB began in 2002 as a VOIP subscription service. By offering low-cost solutions accessible over internet connection, we opened the boarders for global communication. This resonated with the Chinese community in Canada and the USA, as many immigrants regularly contact friends, relatives and associates overseas. We then converted the VOIP communications subscribers to our iTalkBB TV platform by offering the same quality content as in Hong Kong and Mainland China for one low price. Since 2012, iTalkBB Media has developed its own OTT advertising delivery and management platform. The platform presents a valuable opportunity to leverage the iTalkBB Chinese TV network to generate media sales. The technology allows advertisements to be embedded into OTT content, yet is still independent from content streaming. The platform not only enables geo-targeted ads, but also permits a certain level of program-related campaigns. Compared to traditional TV spot ads, iTalkBB Media’s advertising solutions are relevant, targeted and cost-efficient. iTalkBB TV now boasts over 1 million active subscribers with an average viewership of 4.5 hours per day, per household. And most importantly our current market penetration among newer immigrants is 60%. With the digitalization of media, iTalkBB’s TV content has now been made available to be viewed not only on the OTT box, but customers can now download and watch the content on desktop, smart TV’s, smartphones and tablets. With the power of the “Go Digital” platform, user ad viewing experiences will be enhanced, and this in turn will allow advertisers to explore new-found interactive campaign formats. By adopting the most up to date ad-serving processes, audience segmentation and data-driven insights, advertisers are able to launch bigger and bolder advertising campaigns.
